Tom Brown, MD
Dr. Tom Brown is the Director of the Bariatric Surgery Program at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. Dr. Brown is a board-certified, general and bariatric surgeon who has more than 20 years of clinical and surgical experience. Dr. Brown is one of the leading laparoscopic surgeons in the Denver area, demonstrating skill and expertise in executing numerous laparoscopic surgical procedures, including the laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, laparoscopic gastric banding (Lap-Band) and laparoscopic vertical sleeve gastrectomy. He has successfully performed more than 1,500 bariatric procedures and established the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery—recognized Center of Excellence Bariatric Surgery Program at P/SL. Jody Halouska, RD
Jody, a Registered Dietitian, is our Bariatric Surgery Coordinator. Jody counsels and educates patients to help them modify their diet following bariatric surgery. Jody received her Bachelor’s degrees in Nutritional Science and Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed a year-long dietetic internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Jody has held numerous positions in nutritional counseling and education for adults and youth and is a certified personal trainer. She works pre and post-operatively with our patients, in individual and group settings, to assist them with achieving and maintaining their weight-loss goals. Visit Jody's short video.
