Ronald Hugate, M.D.Dr. Hugate is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in orthopedic oncology, bone healing, complex joint replacement and reconstruction and hip preservation. He is a member both of The Denver Clinic as well as Colorado Limb Consultants. Dr. Hugate is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S Army Reserve Medical Corps and has been deployed in both Iraq and Afghanistan for which he received two Army commendations. He has published several scientific articles and book chapters on topics including chemotherapies for bone tumors, joint replacement implant design and reconstruction techniques of the skeleton after tumors have been resected. He has co-written a handbook for patients considering hip or knee replacements: "The Handbook of Hip and Knee Joint Replacement: Through the Eyes of the Patient, Surgeon and Medical Team."
