John Romero was diagnosed with degenerative kidney disease early in life and knew that one day it would adversely affect his health. That time came in his mid 20's when he was told he needed a kidney transplant and had to start on dialysis. His life saving "angel" was his future mother-in-law who had secretly been tested to find out if she was a match.
In this video, John talks about the experience and how the Kidney Transplant team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, Colorado has become a second family during his journey.
