Visitor Guidelines & Restrictions
At P/SL and RMHC, we want to ensure that your visit with your loved one is comfortable and safe. In order to do this, we have restrictions in place for visitors to certain high-risk patient care units.
If you have a fever, diarrhea, achiness, sore throat, runny nose or cough, please stay home until your illness has subsided. If you have a medical appointment, are having a procedure, or are in need of emergency care and have any of the above symptoms, you will be required to wear a mask while on campus.
Family, friends and loved ones are invited to visit at any time, as well as stay overnight in the patient room. Some units do have visitor restrictions, so please check with the nurses' desk in the unit before your visit.
Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology: No visitors under the age of 14.
Flu Season: ICU, Labor & Delivery, NICU, PICU, Inpatient Transplant and Complex Surgical Unit and Mom & Baby have visitor restrictions during the cold and flu season. Please check with the nurses' desk on the unit for specific restrictions.
Some high risk patient care units may have restrictions of gifts that may be brought to the hospital (e.g. no live plants on Bone Marrow Transplant or Oncology). If you are planning to bring a gift to a patient, please call ahead for guidance.
Smoke and Tobacco-Free Campus
No tobacco or smoking products, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, marijuana and chewing tobacco, are allowed on campus.
