One 3-Hour Session
Fee: $55 registration fee pays for two people to attend.
This one-session, 3 ½-hour course focuses on safety for children under the age of 1 year and is great for new and experienced parents, as well as other caregivers. This class is best taken between 32 – 38 weeks, but it can also be completed after the birth of your baby.
Topics covered during the infant safety class include:
- CPR and choking (an American Heart Association Family and Friends course)
- Basic first aid
- Accident prevention
- Basic car seat safety
- Childproofing your home
- SIDS prevention
- Shaken baby syndrome
This is not a CPR certification, so please contact the AHA for more information on certification.
Families that register for this class typically also register for Baby 101: Understanding Your Newborn, just one of a wide range of other helpful childbirth and parent education classes offered at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center.
